SUMMER LEAGUE STARTS AT BISHOPS BOWL

An air of class reigned at Bishops Bowl Fishery this weekend, with Diawa Guru backed Andy Pell leading the way ahead of 20 other anglers, with 43lb 5oz of tench and small carp from Marshes 1 using caster and pellet over ground bait in the margins.

Second was Jake King, Miracle Baits with 36lb 8oz caught on the long pole and pellet. Mick Wheeler, Chiltern Baits 34lb was third, and Simon Cordingley, Maver MK fourth with 24lb 12oz.

36hr Carp Compertition


We are holding a 36hr carp match on Greenhill lake on the 28th - 30th June 2013.

It will be a pairs match with 15 pegs available on first come basis.

The cost will be £170 a pair with free breakfast and the payouts will be as following based on 15 pair fishing.

KING OF THE MARSHES AT BISHOPS BOWL



Jake King won the weekly Sunday open match on Marshes 1 and Walworth lakes with 46lb 6oz of small carp on the pellet. 

Second was Dick Ashby with 32lb 12oz with a mixed bag of carp, bream, tench and roach. 

Third Chris Campling with 27lb 2oz of bream and skimmers. 

Ron Savage was forth with 25lb 6oz and Kev Green with 25lb 4oz was 5th.

Greenhill Lake has finally started to produce large carp after the long winter, with three fish over 20lb out on Saturday night, with the best falling to Leamington's Nigel Ali, a 25lb 8oz mirror.

TOP CATCHES DESPITE ICE AT BISHOPS BOWL


With over-night temperatures dropping to minus 7, anglers braved the weather to be rewarded with a superb match. 

Leading the way was Guru's Andy Pell with 61lb 6oz of small carp caught on the long pole and pellet from Walworth lake. 

2nd was Mike Wheeler, on Marshes 1 with 36lb of carp, barbel and tench caught on the pole and worm. 

3rd was Joe Roberts with 34lb 10oz of skimmer bream. 

4th was Andy Poole with 32lb 10oz of skimmer bream.

The top 10 weights were all in excess of 14lbs despite breaking the ice before the start.

The Mitre Pool, now back to a fishable level has produced no fewer than 22 runs, with 18 fish banked, all in double figures, for the specimen hunters overnight.
