Hatton angler, Ivor Eborall just couldn't believe his catch, when in 48 hours he banked 13 carp, all over 17lb, including 8 over 20lbs, the largest being 27lb 8oz, five bream, 3 over 11lbs, and several tench the best weighing 7lb 11oz.

Ivor said 'I only came for 24 hours, but it just got better and better, so I had to stay. This is the best result I have ever had'

Ivor was fishing one of the new pegs at the far end of Greenhill Lake at Bishops Bowl Fishery.

The Thursday's pensioners match was won by Bert Eyles, with 77lb 10oz of small carp. second was Howard West with 42lb 8oz, and third Dave Smith with 42lb 1oz, fourth Dave Walker with 39lb 12oz. Anyone over 60 is welcome to fish these matches every Thursday, draw 9am.
